✂️ The new revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street has announced lead casting. Coming to Birmingham Rep the show will star Ramin Karimloo.
💚 Broadway are getting their first British Fiyero! A huge congratulations to Carl Man announced to take over the role in Wicked from Tuesday 3rd March. The first Asian actor to play the role on Broadway.
✨ Avenue Q has revealed its 2026 revival company. The show will return to the West End, with the production set to open from 20 March to 29 August 2026. Cast include: Emily Benjamin as Kate Monster and Lucy The Sl*t, Noah Harrison as Princeton and Rod, Meg Hateley as Mrs T and Bad Idea Bear, Oliver Jacobson as Brian, Charlie McCullagh as Nicky, Trekkie Monster and Bad Idea Bear, Amelia Kinu Muus as Christmas Eve and Dionne Ward-Anderson as Gary Coleman.
🦁 Stephenson Ardern-Sodje will return to the Lyceum Theatre today (Tuesday 27 January), to lead the London cast of Disney’s The Lion King as Simba.

Theatre News… 🎭
🥧 Further casting has been confirmed for the new UK tour of Waitress. Carrie Hope Fletcher will take on the lead role of Jenna, joined by Evelyn Hoskins as Dawn and Sandra Marvin as Becky. Les Dennis will also join the tour as Joe.
💞 Legally Blonde has released first-look rehearsal room photos. The show first premiered on Broadway in 2007, with its West End debut in 2010, where it went on to win four WhatsOnStage Awards and three Olivier Awards.
💺 Troubadour Theatres has been granted planning permission for a major new venue on the Greenwich Peninsula. The development, named Troubadour Greenwich Peninsula Theatre, will feature two 1,500-seat auditoriums and is aiming to open in late 2026.
🌊 A newly released track has dropped from new musical Sea Witch, ahead of its world premiere with special performances at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
